LAST FEW DAYS OF WINTER OFFER FOR DALES RAILCARD HOLDERS
A great offer is available until Friday, 24 February 2012 with a flat fare day return ticket for Dales Railcard holders at the great price of £6.50 per person. And you can take four children with you for a flat fare of £3.00.
Outside the winter offer, there are savings of up to 1/3 on tickets for £12 per person per year…
If you live in postcode areas bounding the Settle-Carlisle line, you can purchase a Dales Railcard, which will enable you to receive discounts on the price of tickets to travel on the line.
This is a great scheme as the Dales Railcard only costs £10.00 per person, is valid for 12 months and provides savings of 1/3 on the cost of tickets within a specified area. Up to four children accompanying each Dales Railcard Holder are eligible for discounts of 81% on the full adult fare.
Eligible Postcode Areas
You can apply for a Dales Railcard if you live between:
- Skipton and Carlisle (on the Leeds-Settle-Appleby-Carlisle line)
- Skipton and Carnforth (on the Leeds-Morecambe line)
- Carlisle and Brampton (one the Tyne Valley Carlisle-Newcastle line)
And your postcode is in one of the following areas:
- CA 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17
- DL 8, 11, 12
- LA 2, 5, 6, 10
- BD 23, 24
Where can I use it?
You can use a Dales Railcard to save money on single, day return and saver return tickets. Travel validity is between all stations shown on the map (below), (plus Brampton and Wetheral on the Tyne Valley line) with the restrictions that it cannot be used exclusively within the Leeds/Bradford Skipton area or exclusively between Carnforth, Lancaster, Bare Lane and Morecambe.
What about Children?
Up to four children (ages 5 to 15 inclusive) can travel with a railcard holder and the child fare is based on an 81% discount on the adult fare. There is a minimum child fare of £1
How long is the Railcard valid?
Dales Railcards are valid for twelve months from the date of issue or commencement date.
You can apply up to one month in advance for a renewal Dales Railcard.
